A new team of researchers selected by ERA Chair (IN4ACT) is starting to work 1st of October

Kaunas University of Technology School of Economics and Business (KTU SEB) finished the selection of the ERA Chair project “Industry 4.0 impact on management practices and economics” (IN4ACT) research team. The selected candidates will start to work from 1st of October, 2020 (duration of the contract: 3 years).

The ERA Chair research team is comprised of eight local and international researchers from Italy, France, Iran and Luxembourg with backgrounds and current specializations in economics, business management, technology management, public policy, law, international political economy, and energy/environmental sciences.

As part of the team selected researchers together with Panagiotis (Takis) Damaskopoulos, the head of ERA Chair project, will pro-actively contribute to the achievement of the IN4ACT project objectives: implement an ambitious research agenda on the impact of future manufacturing (Industry 4.0) on management practices and economics; drive changes at the KTU School of Economics and Business related with research management and human resources, especially to comply with the ERA priorities; improve the School’s dissemination, and communication capacities; Grow networks and increase links with stakeholders, especially to increase participation in Horizon 2020.

Interdisciplinary team will lead the research on Industry 4.0

Takis Damaskopoulos, the Head Holder of IN4ACT says that the main goal of the team is to carry out the IN4ACT grant agreement, ensure that all IN4ACT objectives are achieved, and make sure that they have systematic continuity at KTU School of Economics and Business beyond the formal completion of the project.

The Team’s interdisciplinary composition should allow IN4ACT and KTU School of Economics and Business address in a rigorous manner key aspects of the Fourth Industrial Revolution“, – he says.

KTU has become the first university in Lithuania to win ERA Chairs competition for attracting top academics. The EUR 2.4 million funding, coming from the EU’s research and innovation funding program, Horizon 2020 will enable KTU to attract top academics to strengthen its competitiveness among centers of excellence elsewhere in the European Research Area (ERA).
