Kaunas University of Technology School of Economics and Business is proud to launch a transformative new initiative under the EPIC project – Entrepreneurs Promoting Innovative Change. Supported by COSME, the European Union’s programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), this project will run from February 2025 through January 2028. It focuses on accelerating the entrepreneurial journeys of young people in Lithuania and beyond by building their competences in digital and green entrepreneurship.
Over the next three years, the EPIC project will provide comprehensive support to aspiring entrepreneurs through a rich programme of trainings, workshops, and individual consultations. These activities are designed to develop practical skills in sustainable business development, digital innovation, and circular economy practices. Participants will gain access to mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs, empowering them to transform ideas into successful ventures.
Beyond skill-building, EPIC seeks to cultivate a strong entrepreneurial and mentoring culture in Lithuania. Through international collaboration and local engagement, the project will promote the values of innovation, sustainability, and community-driven business. A core component of the project is qualitative research-conducting in-depth interviews to understand how entrepreneurial competences evolve and how mentorship shapes the personal and professional growth of young business leaders.
The team from Kaunas University of Technology participated in the 34th Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Network Meeting, which took place on March 18-19, 2025, in Bergamo, Italy. This international event brought together over 200 programme partners from across Europe to exchange experiences, share best practices, and discuss future entrepreneurship initiatives. During the meeting, the latest programme updates were presented, cooperation among intermediary organisations was strengthened, and valuable connections were established. These outcomes will contribute to the successful implementation of the EPIC project and the promotion of digital and green business among new or aspiring entrepreneurs in Lithuania.
This initiative is led in Lithuania by Prof. Dr. Rūta Čiutienė, Prof. Dr. Aušra Rūtelionė, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Evelina Meilienė, experts in entrepreneurship and sustainable innovation at Kaunas University of Technology. Lithuania joins a powerful international consortium from seven European countries, united in their mission to support and scale new enterprises across Europe – especially those led by women and focused on digital and green innovation.
