Project Manager of Strategic Partnerships and International Accreditations
The research cluster aims to develop new knowledge about the fundamental pillars, principles, and emerging trends on the basis of international entrepreneurship, in order to understand internationalization patterns of knowledge intensive entrepreneurial firms. The emerging trends in the international entrepreneurship field include, but aren’t limited to the understanding of business model’s innovation of new ventures, internationalisation strategies, export strategies and strategic decisions, the role of networks, entrepreneurial co-creation, internationalisation of business R&D, innovations in global networks, institutional frameworks of the entrepreneurial ecosystem and its impact on internationalisation of new ventures. Its scope has broadened beyond that, because competitiveness, innovation, and entrepreneurial strategies have become essential for the survival of both new and established firms.
In order to achieve the aim, the cluster will focus on four research topics:
1) International entrepreneurship and its relation to firms‘ management, strategy, networks and performance;
2) R&D intensive entrepreneurship and innovation;
3) Entrepreneurial co-creation in international service businesses;
4) Distance and regulatory environment impact on entrepreneurial firms decisions.
On the initiative of research cluster member prof. Jurgita Sekliuckiene, Prof. dr. Hans Ruedinger Kaufmann, Professor at University of Nicosia, Vice President of EuroMed Research Business Institute, associate editor of the World Review of Entrepreneurship, Management and Sustainable Development hosted a seminar for researchers and PhD students on following topic “Entrepreneurship across borders. Networking Event” (September 28 – October 1, 2016).
PhD student Vytautė Dlugoborskytė participated in a workshop on “Entrepreneurship from an Evolutionary Perspective: New research challenges” (Spain). Presented paper – “Entrepreneurial, Strategic and Network Factor Dynamics in R&D Intensive Born Global Firms” (6, September 2016)
PhD student Gintare Valkauskiene and prof. Liudmila Bagdoniene attended 26th Annual RESER Conference (Italy) “New perspectives for Business and Society“, and presented paper – ”Strategic matters of the customer co-creation in service innovation“ (8-10 September 2016).
Prof. Jurgita Sekliuckienė has visited Pavia University (Italy) under Erasmus+ programme (25-29, October, 2016).
PhD student Vytautė Dlugoborskytė and prof. Monika Petraitė attended the 14th Globelics Conference (Indonesia). Presented paper – “The Dynamics of Entrepreneurial, Strategic and Network Based Factors in the Formation of R&D Intensive Entrepreneurial Born Global Firms”, (12-14 Oct 2016).
PhD student Gintare Valkauskiene attended Eden Doctoral Seminar in Case Studies in Business and Management Research organized by European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management, which took place on 21 – 25 November 2016, at Helsinki, Finland.
PhD student Rimantė Sedziniauskienė and prof. Jurgita Sekliuckienė attended the 42nd Annual Conference of the European International Business Academy (EIBA) (01-04, December, 2016) and Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS) paper development workshop (PDW).
G. Valkauskienė participated in the International PhD Summer School organized by Kaunas University of Technology, which took place on 23 – 27 August 2016, at Palanga, Lithuania. The topics include How to write a good scientific article, Writing doctoral thesis and articles and Developing H2020 proposal writing skills.
G. Valkauskienė participated in courses on the Case Study Methodology organized by STM (Prof. Dr. V. Zydziunaite), which took place on 27 – 28 June 2016, at Druskininkai, Lithuania.
