Project no.: 13.1.1-LMT-K-718-05-0020

Project description:

Telehealth services (THS) are essential due to the need posed by the Covid-19 to effectively create a physical distance that protects healthcare professionals and citizens. Therefore, THS ensure the relevant accessibility of healthcare during the Covid-19 pandemic. Currently, there is a lack of relevant, field-tested THS business model innovation tools that would enable the timely development and deployment of THS services. The issues and research question addressed in the project correspond to the priority of the Lithuanian smart specialization priority “Inclusive and creative society”, theme – “Social and cultural innovations for the development of society development products and services, innovative business models”. The TeleCare BMI project addresses the challenge of business model innovation that impede the development and deployment of value-based and personalized telehealth services, which, in turn, leads to the mitigation of the challenges caused by Covid-19. The idea of the project is to create value-based and personalized THS business model innovation tools and an open-source digital platform (TeleCare BMI) that supports them. TeleCareBMI would enable THS promoters to effectively and interactively model the THS multilateral value proposition, anticipate the required co-specialized and intangible resources, create THS delivery processes and standards, and socio-economic return models. The project’s goal is to create and field-test value-based and personalized THS business model innovation tools and an open-source digital platform that supports them, which would mitigate the challenges caused by Covid-19.
