Project description:

The economic shock caused by the COVID-19 pandemic had direct impact on Lithuanian economy, however, the effects of this economic shock on economic growth of individual Lithuanian regions may differ due to their specificity. The project focuses on assessing the impact of the pandemic-caused economic shock on economic growth of Lithuanian regions.

Project funding:

Project is funded by EU Structural Funds according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments priority “Development of scientific competence of researchers, other researchers, students through practical scientific activities” under Measure No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712.


Project results:

The tasks of the project were solved and the aim was achieved. There were no deviations from the prepared plan. The results of the study revealed the impact of the pandemic-caused economic shock on the economic growth of individual regions. Impact areas and most affected regions have been identified.
