Project description:

The main objective of the research is to develop a Circular Design (CD) based methodology (“CIDE methodology”) for Circular Economy (CE) business model development in manufacturing companies. More specifically, the project aims to (i) identify the factors driving the application of CD in manufacturing companies and (ii) develop the “CIDE methodology” and apply it empirically in Lithuanian manufacturing companies.

Project funding:

This research project is funded by the European Social Fund according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments, under measure’s No. 09.3.3-LMT-K-712 activity “Promotion of postdoctoral fellowships studies”.


Project results:

The project will provide theoretical results, which will encourage further research on Circular Design (on the theoretical level) and the use of Circular Design in manufacturing companies (on the practical level). Indirect social benefit – the project results will raise general awareness among businesses and the general public on Circular Design and Circular Economy, its benefits to business, consumers, and the planet.
