💡 Abstract: This study examines the effects of energy efficiency renovation on property values in Lithuania. By leveraging administrative datasets on real estate properties and transactions, alongside data on completed renovation projects, we demonstrate that while renovations result in higher apartment prices, the price increase does not exceed the costs associated with these renovations. The gap between the increase in prices and the renovation costs is starker outside the three largest cities, owing mostly to the uneven geographic distribution of apartment prices in the country.
