Augmented Reality with Junaio and Metaio Creator software

Augmented Reality is an exciting marketing tool and it is still considered as an emerging technology.

The lecture includes the usage of Augmented Reality for smartphones for an interactive TV-Show and the junaio development tool. Prof.(FH) Dipl.-Ing.(FH) Thiemo Kastel is a researcher at the ICMT Institute for Creative Media Technologies at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences and uses Augmented and Mixed Reality for interactive live productions.

Students who are interested should download and install the software:

• On a PC/Mac: Metaio Creator – Demo Version:  http://metaio.com/products/creator/index.html

and in addition on a smartphone the junaio App (free)  http://www.junaio.com/#

• Everybody should bring a postcard/flyer as tracking marker to test the app.

It is important to have Internet connection and the Port 21 (FTP-Server Access mit the creator software to upload and test the content) should be open.
